Zune 2
Here's everything we know about the Zune 2:
The official ZuneLuv.com review of the Zune 8gb Digital Media player is here! If you're looking for a Zune 80 review, it's here.
Update: Follow our ZuneLuv Twitter Page.
It's A Rebuild From The Ground Up. As cool as the original Zune interface was, we really support this one, and understand now why they didn't do many upgrades of the original Zune software.
The Zune has full top-level support for Podcasting. This is what we've been asking for all along at ZuneLuv.com and are THRILLED to see it is finally here.
4 hours of video on a battery charge. 24 hours audio (for the flash versions) and 30 hours for the Zune 80 (HD version).
Full New Accessories Line. Probably obvious in the iPod economy but we wanted to make sure you knew. Heads up: the "old" Zune chords and connectors will work with your new Zunes.
The "new" Zune (Hard Drive Model) is called the Zune 80. And, yes, the older 30 gig models are called the "Zune 30."
A great set of pictures of the new Zune units are at Flickr. Don't they look great?
You can pre-order them at Amazon.com with a listed launch date of November 13. We can't wait.
No Audible support. We categorize that as a "bummer" but we'll be o.k.
At this point there is no support for a "Zune as a hard drive" option. We can wait on that one.
In a strange piece of news, some Zune owners are downgrading their Zunes to the previous version. We don't totally understand that one, but it is our job to report.
