Silicon Alley Insider is responding to a quote from Steve Balmer ("with the market for dedicated portable media players in decline, the future lay in more “general purpose” devices – such as Apple’s iPhone and touch.") as being a sign that Microsoft may finally "nuke the Zune."
Being the Zune Luvers that we are, we don't "hear" that in his statement. We actually see this as a sign that the Zune is going to become more general purpose - like the iPhone and iTouch. (…)
