Does Zune HD Kill "The Social?" We'll Ask The Question Nobody Else Will

So, lets connect some dots here, shall we?

Zune (or Zune HD) is the name of the new video marketplace in the XBox - coming "this Fall."

Also coming "this Fall" - integration with Facebook and Twitter.  Tight integration too.  Do something cool in a game and you can challenge your friends to do the same via Facebook Connect.

Where does this leave "the social?"  Let's look at the options …

• "The Social" remains part of Zune and has to compete with other social networks promoted by Microsoft - right within the interface that is marketing Zune.
• "The Social" dies.

I think the fate of "The Social" is obvious - but I'm curious what you think.
