The Zune Interface

At this point, I am wondering what you think of the interface on the zune. Do you like it? Hate it? Think it could be improved?

Incorporating the Zune interface into Windows Mobile was definitely a step for Microsoft. Did it payoff though? Will it?

What about Microsoft's stance on merging the Zune interface into Media Room? Should they have done it differently?

I'll give my thoughts, then I'll take a step back and let you continue the conversation.

I for one like the Zune interface. It seems cleaner to me than the ipod interface. It is more simple to me as well. I can interact with it more than using a click wheel. Sure the click wheel has some perks, but don't you just love flicking your fingers across the zune pad and watching text whiz by?

It seems to me that the success of the Zune has made Microsoft take a closer look at certain parts of the zune, analyzing which parts would be good to incorporate elsewhere. Having a simple layout, and a clean feel to a program will make it that much easier for the user to navigate through its screens. It could just be subtle branding on Microsoft's part as well…

Ok, your turn.
