ZuneTV?

Very cool article I found coming off the press. Even though the ZunePhone is out of the question, and with Zune HQ being broken up into two other departments, they are working on a very interesting project.

Microsoft is "bringing our Zune Service, not the Zune hardware but the Zune entertainment service, to all three screens, PC, phone, and TV," CEO Steve Ballmer told Wall Street on Tuesday. "So it becomes a fundamental part of building a real business around TV sets."

This would be "a no-brainer that they've been talking about forever," he said.

Meanwhile, Michelle Abraham, an analyst with In-Stat, thinks that Microsoft will integrate the Zune service into its Mediaroom software.

Hmm, very interesting. Can you see a Zune-like interface on your TV in the future? It would definitely match what they have on the PC, media player, and Phone. I for one like the interface of the Zune, its very modern, clean-cut, and fresh. Coming from a graphic designer standpoint, it is very interesting to look at, never leaves a boring moment.

What do you think about this? Think Microsoft is taking a good direction, or should they be focusing elsewhere?
