Zune Media, how does it compare?
One thing I do like about the media I get on my Zune, it either comes in mp3 or wma format. It makes it easier to swap music between the players I have, and not have to worry about authorizing much. Now compared to the media I get on my IPod, its in .mp4 or some other format that alot of times, I have to reauthorize on the same computer. Some things to think about…
Can the IPod tag songs you hear on the built-in radio? Not even close. Can the IPod pull songs over the built-in wifi? Nope. Can you purchase a pass on ITunes and download unlimited songs, but keep 10 at the end of every month? Far from it. What Microsoft has put into the Zune and the Zune Marketplace is just amazing. They are putting you, the user, at the center. Can Apple claim the same with the IPod and ITunes?
If you don't have a Zune, you should really look into one. The Zune is not dead or dying, it needs to be brought more to the forefront. What is in the Zune is what the IPod dreams for every night. And I haven't even touched that much on the social aspect attached to the Zune brand.
I think what Microsoft did at that point killed the IPod. "Sure, the IPod is a decent music player, but can it do what I can?" says the Zune.
Thoughts? Comments? I'd love to hear what you have to say.
