Democrats And Republicans Get Their Zunes - And Their Zune Games
O.k., we find this one downright hilarious. In another fascinating "marketing attempt" (we're beginning to wonder if Microsoft actually has a strategy to comp Zunes to people with 0 chance of using them in an attempt to not "lose sales"), Microsoft has been pushing specially branded Zunes at both the DNC and RNC conventions.
According to Gizmodo, they both have a "green" message - but only the DNC Zune is colored accordingly. The Republican's get a Red Zune. Get it? Subtle, eh? They have pictures if you are interested too.
In a more interesting note to us ZuneLuvers, On10.net reports that, at least at the DNC event, the Zunes "came pre-loaded with some content, including one game."
We won't dare ask if you're prefer a green or red Zune - but we are interested in your thoughts about Microsoft attempting to position this device amongst a demographic … how shall we say this … not always known for their geek gadgetry?
