Microsoft Supports The Podcast Community Before Apple Does?

Apple may not have supported a podcast event but in OS X 10.5 there is a podcast application to make podcasts. So they are trying to support them. Can the Zune play podcasts? (Not a jibe, I genuinely don't know)
