Zune 2 Details From A "Real" Source - It's A Rebuild
The Zune 2 software is from-scratch rebuild says the news site at Seattle King 5 television. This rebuild came from a staff beefed up considerably after the initial speedy launch of the first generation of the Zune software claims the station's website.
If the story is to be believed, the product goes on sale in mid-November and the wifi can be used to sync with a computer, not just another Zune. In addition, the much hated "squircle" button in the middle is actually called the "Zune Pad."
The general rumor mill online is claiming that there was a gag order on all Zune 2 related news until midnight tonight. If this was the case, someone is either in "trouble" over at King 5, they are making it up, or someone got themselves a nice little scoop.
No word in the article what happens to Zune 1 owners.
