Zune As External Hard Drive - Zune Hack #3

Believe it or not, this one came from Popular Science.

Looks like using your Zune as an external hard drive was much easier than we thought.

Full directions are here, but it seems like a program called ZuneHDPatch.exe will let you use your Zune as an external hard drive. Requires Windows, the .Net Framework and the Zune Software, but seems pretty solid.

Anyone had any experience with this?

Does anyone know if the hack works with the latest Zune update (3.0)? I was able to access files to and from my Zune prior to "updating" my software. Worst mistake I made! Can anyone help me with this? I really need to extract a file off my Zune.
    Thanks

Easier to use Zune Explorer Enabler (or the registry hack for making the Zune a \'hard drive\')... then start a Zune sync... and go to task manager to killl or \'End\' the Zune.exe process, before it finishes syncing. (This sync-killing method keeps the Zune \'un-locked\' so you have actually access, instead of just being able to browse the directory. If the Zune is not \'syncing\' then it\'s \'locked\'.) After killing the sync process, Then you can copy/paste files in/out of the Zune in My Computer... as well as rename files, etc.
