So, I Can Buy Music For My Zune At iTunes? What the AAC/EMI announcement means to you.
Posted on 7:44 am by Team Zune LuvWell, don't worry, dear Zuner, you can.
Despite the buzz surrounding this event, you can use this stuff on your Zune.
Check out slide 3 from the presentation. Is that a Black Zune amongst the players? Why yes, it is.
Zune can, and will, play AAC. It's not an "Apple" codec, it's the "Advanced Audio Coding" file format. For those truly geeky, read all about it at Wikipedia.
So, in short, buy your DRM free tunes at iTunes and use them on your iPod, your Zune, or anything else that comes along.
It's a good day.
