How do I transfer movies from my computer to my zune?

Not impressed. Can't figure out how the menus are structured, there is no manual, can't delete songs or albums from the stupid thing, and the zune web site is useless. My Zune (8g) is frozen and has been for a couple of months. It keeps saying please wait. We have tried to trouble shoot it with MS and nothing has helped. Has anyone else had this happen and found a way to fix. They are only offering to fix it for $99.00, I am looking for another solution first.

Does anyone know what is going to happen for the Zune 30 users that had a meltdown last night at midnight where their Zunes froze? I tell you one thing, I was loyal with my Zune, but depending on how Micro Soft (MS) handles this situation will either have me switchover to Ipod or stay with the Zune. Can somebody in Zune please make some more games, hexic and Texas Hold 'Em are too original. I'm thinking more along the lines of Heavy Cannon, there's a game like that for Ipod.

go into the device section on your zune software after plugging it in, or if you have a wireless computer, then wireless sync, and then go to the pictures section and delete the ones that you do not want. You do the same thing for music, videos, podcasts, etc.

When you go to log in there's a small hyperlink that says (forgot your password) use it

Screw bearshare, use Limewire or isohunt.com, both are legal.
Simply download the songs that you want to your computer into the downloads folder (I made two folders, downloads and incomplete, makes things so much less complicated) and then just add them to your zune software. Make sure that the songs are not WMA because I do not believe that zune accepts WMA format. (2 of the Nickelback Cd's are WMA format I believe)

Wow dude, calm the hell down. Here's what you do first off. You don't burn cd's from the Zune software because its far to slow, instead use either nero or windows media player.
1) upload said songs from your zune onto your computer.
2) go to my computer, and in your documents you should have a 'my music folder'
3) go in there and inside you should find something relative to zune backup licenses and zune
4) go in your zune folder
5) activate nero (I use nero 7/8 I forget now)
6) click on the audio tab and the make an audio disc, you can make an mp3 disc if you want, but I just prefer not getting confused when it comes to artists.
7) click add songs and search for your zune folder. if your zune folder is not in your my music folder then you can always put it on your desktop, but I find it gets too confusing to have so many things on your desktop.
8) add songs and then click burn, title your cd with title and artist and voila you're finished.

uh.....zune.com......thats another place you can go to find the software to download it....just go to zune.com and there will be a download option click it and there you go....

The zune zoftware is downloadable thro their home site for free @ www.zune.net. If you have lost your snyc/charger cable, I would recommend Best Buy, RadioShack, EBay, etc for a car/home charging. It comes with a new cable, the cigarette lighter adapter, and a wall charger adapter. When choosing what files/folders are added to the zune, you must first decide what folders are to be automatically be monitored and added. You should go into those folders and clean up any unwanted files before syncing the Zune to limit the amount of time and headache cause by scrolling thro 10,000 albums that in reality could have been 9,000. When you near max space in your Zune, you will be scrolling thro forever looking for one particular song. When adding movies that have been purchased to your Zune, I recommend using a converter like pocket DVD to Zune or another program that rips dvd's or divX files to .wma files that are compliant to the Zune's OS. I have had my Zune for almost three years and have never had a problem out of it. It's much sturdier than the iPod and much less likely to be outdated as previous versions of the iPod have been. i'm frm trinidad, my zune is freezin and it isnt stayin charged.... so annoyin... also wat's up with havin 2 delete only frm ur computer?? and how d shiit do i sync a video or movie...zune or microsoft needs 2 do a serious upgrade n refund everyone whose previously owned one...seriously zune......not impressive....

Simply put, if you delete anything from your Zune collection, it automatically gets deleted from your Zune when it syncs.



If you're talking about trying to save space on your computer, delete the source files. There will still be a catalogue of the videos in the collection so that the Zune recognizes not to delete it when syncing, but you won't have the space occupied on your computer.

put all of your music in the sample music section of your computer. i use limewire all you have to do is scroll to the bottom it will say where do you want to save it. click on my computer and click sample music your zune will pick it up. it took me a month to figure that out, no worries

I love the navigation system on the Zune. It works really well. It's better than iPod.



But it does freeze up sometimes. You just have to hold down the back button and the down button simultaneously to reset it when that happens. It's not a big deal but it's somewhat of an annoyance. It usually happens when you are overloading it (i.e. scrolling through a long list of songs over and over).



But it's still better than iPod.

hey whats up. I do not own a Zune or an Ipod, but right not i am leaning more towards the Ipod, and so are alot more people. I don't know how many other people have the same problem, but I bought my Zune this past Christmas and I barely use it and now it won't hold a charge at all. I know of at least one other person with the same problem. Can I send it back? I wish I had gotten an iPOD instead!

My inner screen on my Zune fried from the sun through my backpack and through the case they give you when you buy the Zune. When I called the company they said it was an act of god, an act of god give me a break!!!! If your case wasn't so weak maybe my Zune wouldn't be in this condition. It wouldn't be freezing, I would be able to see the pictures and videos, it wouldn't be difficult to turn it on! The warrenty is still good until Chrismas, and I already talked to the company so what else am I supposed to do besides wait? This is Bull.
