Using My Zune To Watch MP4 Video Podcasts - It's Actually Kinda Cool

I have a little experiment going over at the Year Of Living Digitally. Although the grand experiment doesn't launch until 1/1/7, I do need to make sure everything works well together.

Found a bizzare notation at Zune.net that let me figure out this interesting "hack."

Basically, the Zune converts MP4 video content to WMV (Windows Media Video) before it puts it on the Zune. We'll leave the "is that a good idea?" question up to the others but … it let's me do something cool.

Now I can fill my Zune with Video Podcast content and control/watch it from my XBox 360.

I'll take it - show me some other way (without hooking a computer up to your TV) to do that.
