Zune Updates Firmware … Nothing Worth Noting

As reported in Gizmodo, Microsoft has released a Zune firmware update.

Podcasts?

Nope?

Wifi to the Web?

Nope?

But the rumors are, … wait for it … it runs faster.

Yeah, that's what's missing. That'll get them to buy now.

Yawn …

I love my zune. It's not perfect, but I love my zune. While Microsoft is working on getting caught up to the giant known as Ipod, people are beginning to see that the Zune has a lot of great things to offer. However, until it can match the Ipod in a few key catergories.

I believe that they could gain a creditible share of the market, however I can't see them EVER out doing the Ipod. Not to say it WON'T happen but it's not likely.

Ipods are overrated. But I'd hate to have the same thing happen to the Zune. If they do take over the market I want ti to be by having a great product, which they are well on there way to achieving.

Meanwhile I grow impatient while waiting for firm and software updates.

most of these things will come through firmware updates...just wait and see. Podcasts are definitely being worked out. They really got good user feedback about the Wi-Fi and the potential so at least MS knows that we really like the idea of it, they just have to expand on it. Wireless Syncing shouldn't be hard to impliment and the idea of hotspots isn't hard either. When you're in a wireless "hotspot" you got full access of wireless internet so I'll think they'll do that with the Zune. I already heard about some sort of wi-fi filling station that they will put in Starbucks. Face it, the Zune is becoming more and more popular and people are thinking about getting it to replace the overrated iPods. Microsoft is known for first try first fail, but once they EXECUTE, they dominate. Look at Windows. Look at Xbox. Look at where it's at now. Now look at the Zune.
