Audible - 190 Devices - Not Zune - No Way!
I never even thought to look this up but this came across the feeds today and … I had to comment:
So, the rumor goes like this - No Audible Support for Zune.
190 devices support Audible. How the heck is that possible? The Audible guys bend over backwards to get their stuff into any device of merit.
That $30 MP3 player at Walmart - Audible Ready.
Your Pocket PC - Audible Ready.
Your Palm Device - Audible Ready.
Every iPod - Audible Ready.
Zune - Not.
Why not?

I gave my zune to my daughter because it isnt audible ready
I would love some Zune Luv from Audible.com.
All you have to do is burn a copy of the Audible book to a CD and then rip the cd in Zune. Works perfectly… and treats eack track individually. Besides, you should have a back up copy anyway right?
If Zune would support Audible then I could say goodbye to my iPod forever.
Yes, you can burn a copy to a CD then rip it to your Zune but a typical 10 hour book will use up around 10+ CDs and take lots of time. I was primed and ready to purchase a Zune then found out that it didn't have Audible support. I went to the dark side and got me and IPOD. I feel like Microsoft still does not listen to its customers. First Vista then no Audible support. Nice to see Audible isn't allowing themselves to be pushed around by MS.
Also, you don't need a backup of your Audible.com stuff. I'm pretty sure that you may redownload it if you need to.
