If There Is No Microsoft Podcast, Does There Need To Be A Microsoft Podcast Player?

Think about it, there is no official Microsoft Podcast. The biggest software company in the world doesn't have a Podcast and you're hoping that their new player will support it. If the company doesn't do it, why do you think they'd support it?

Honestly, for this one, I'm hoping for the famous Microsoft disconnect. There are some "permitted" Microsoft Podcasting efforts (on10.net), there is even the Channel 9 effort with a fascinating future with Scoble's departure.

My prayer is that someone, somewhere, quietly inserted some sort of Podcatching element into the Zune package (sort of like a code version of pork barrel politics) and that all will be revealed soon.
