Those Damn Zune Terrorists - Or Guerilla Marketing Brilliance - Or Idiot TSA Employees - Or Great Rumor - Or …

There are some things in life that are just too good not to be true.

Gizmodo reports a Zune was confiscated during today's terrorist blocking activities. Please read it. It doesn't get better than this.

I don't know if I should believe it, cry about it, write a letter to my congressman, or buy some of that Microsoft stock I dumped last year.

Here are the options for this story as I see it:

Initially I thought, "Idiot TSA. Like they are trained to recognized every laptop and PMP player on the planet. These are the same people who scan babies so that they can prove that they aren't predjudiced. Bet this was invented by the same guy (had to be a guy) who decided that laptops are only dangerous in bags and that if you take them out of your bag, it kills the bad guy cooties on them."

Then I thought, "Freaking brilliant Microsoft guerilla marketing piece for Zune."

But then, reality hit, and I said "Instant urban legend, and I'm gonna help …"

And then it was back to the idiot TSA meme.
