Could Zune "Kill" the iPod? Focus on the Right Issues.
MediaLoper suggests 8 ways Zune could "kill the iPod."
Most of the suggestions aren't anything new. Basically, here's the deal: iPod ain't perfect / hit some of the Pod's weak points and you might somewhere here.
But I have to suggest a simple issue here: People with Portable Media Players don't listen to radio - They like to be in control / not hand that over to anyone else. This focus on satellite radio or am/fm integration is the wrong focus.
Get over it.
Give us control of our content.
And, please, give us control of our selection of content. PLEASE INCLUDE PODCASTING IN THE MIX.

The Zune feature that would make it an iPod killer would be "automatic Wi-Fi podcast updating" Let's say you are on your lunch break and the restaurant has a Wi-Fi. You can update your content for your drive home or to the gym. If your gym has Wi-Fi you can update your content for your workout. Live radio shows like Howard Stern could update their RSS feed every hour, so you could update and still only stay one hour behind. You get it? Portable on demand radio.
hey, sorry, i accidently pressed something that made it enter… so my last comment is useless. Anyway, i am not at all a very complicated electronics wizard. I think the simpleset way to buy and download music that i can find is the best for me. All i need is just that a simple way to download files from itunes, and from my cds and then be able to watch them on whatever it is i have an ipod or an zune. and be able to find said files. which music player should i get. please help me.
oh, and can you download a movie you alreya have bought onto your ipod? or zune? which one, both or neither?
[...] However, according to Zune Luv?, this last suggestion means that I have lost the plot . . . [...]
ok i am debating on wether i should get a zune or an ipod or just wait for the zune 2. the only real problem is that i have a vista computer thingy.(as u can see im not much of a computer nerd). but i heard from a video that it doesnt work with the vista and i dont wanna buy it and then have it not work. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
As of now, i have an iPod and im looking into buying the Zune 2 when it releases this month. But the only thing keeping me from that buy is all the music i have bought off of iTunes. Does any one know if i can simply transfer those bought files into the Zune library without having to burn each bought song onto a disk and then importing them to Zune software?
